Kenya leads the world in mobile money adoption. More than 30 million Kenyans use M-Pesa daily — sending money, paying bills, buying airtime, settling debts. Yet most people have no real picture of where their money flows month to month.
Pesaly exists to change that. Our mission is to give every Kenyan — regardless of income level or financial background — the same quality of financial insight that was previously reserved for people with expensive accountants or complex banking apps.

How we got here
From a frustrated founder checking his M-Pesa balance to 50,000 users across Kenya.
The Idea
Ting checks his M-Pesa balance and realizes he has no idea where KSH 12,000 went that month. The idea for Pesaly is born.
First Build
A rough prototype that could parse M-Pesa SMS messages and display a basic transaction list. Ugly, but it worked. Shared with 12 friends who immediately asked when it was launching.
Beta Launch
Closed beta with 3 users. Feedback flooded in. Top requests: Smart Query AI, receipt downloads, and multi-SIM support. The team got to work.
Smart Query Ships
The AI-powered natural language feature launches. Users can ask "How much did I spend on Airtime last month?" and get an instant, accurate answer. The response is overwhelming.
Public Launch
Pesaly goes live on the Google Play Store. 10,000 downloads in the first week. No paid ads — just word of mouth from Kenyans finally understanding their spending.
50,000+ Users
Over 50,000 active users. 12 million transactions tracked. The team is still small, still fast, and still deeply committed to building the best financial tool for Kenya.
